The swan plants at kindergarten have captured the interest of the children, parents and teachers. We have been lucky enough to watch up to 100 butterflies hatch out. The children have been also learning from related books and puzzles, and we have been catching the transformations on still and video camera. We also have viewed the tiny eggs and newly hatched caterpillars with the digital microscope.We have learnt a lot about the life cycle of the monarch butterfly.
